Free Tool Installment calculator
Fee installment calculator
Split a course fee into clear installments with due dates. Apply a discount, set a down payment, and the schedule always adds up to the net fee.
Fee details
With a down payment, it is due on the first due date and installments follow after it. With no down payment, installment 1 is due on the first due date.

How to use the fee installment calculator
- Enter the total course fee as quoted to the parent, before any discount.
- Add the discount in rupees or as a percentage, for example a sibling, early-bird or scholarship discount. The calculator shows the net fee.
- Set the down payment you collect at admission. Leave it at 0 if the first installment is the first payment.
- Choose the number of installments, the first due date and the gap: monthly, every 2 months or quarterly.
- Pick the rounding. Rounding to ₹100 gives parents neat figures. The remainder goes into the last installment, so nothing is lost or over-charged.
- Copy the schedule and share it with the parent on WhatsApp, or print it with the admission form.
Tips for installment plans that actually get paid
- Collect a meaningful down payment. A first payment of 25 to 40 percent of the net fee shows commitment and covers your early costs.
- Finish installments before the course ends. For a 10-month course, try to close the last installment by month 6 or 7. Collecting after results is much harder.
- Match due dates to salary days. Dates between the 5th and the 10th of the month suit most salaried parents.
- Put the schedule in writing at admission. When the parent has the dates and amounts from day one, reminders feel routine, not personal.
- Record discounts separately. Write the original fee and the discount, not just the final number, so your reports show how much you are giving away.
In Klass360 Fees & Refunds, the same plan lives on the student's fee record: discounts, installments with due dates, payments with receipts, and pending and overdue lists, where paid plus pending always equals the net fee.
FAQs Asked questions
Installment calculator: common questions
1. How does the fee installment calculator work?
It takes the total fee, subtracts the discount to get the net fee, keeps aside the down payment and splits the rest into the number of installments you choose, with a due date for each.
2. Why is the last installment slightly different?
Installments are rounded to a neat figure, such as the nearest ₹100. Whatever is left over after rounding goes into the last installment, so the schedule always adds up to the net fee exactly.
3. Can I give the discount as a percentage?
Yes. Choose % next to the discount box. The discount is rounded to the nearest rupee before the installments are worked out.
4. What if a due date falls on the 31st?
For months with fewer days, the due date moves to the last day of that month. For example, 31 January plus one month becomes 28 or 29 February.
5. Does Klass360 save the plan I create here?
No. The calculation happens in your browser and nothing is stored. Copy the schedule or take a screenshot to share it with the parent.
